MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A number of domestic flights were cancelled Sunday, September 14, due to Typhoon Luis (Kalmaegi).
As of 11:30 AM, the Department of Transportation and Communications announced the cancellation of the following flights:

5J 323: Manila-Legazpi

5J-513: Manila-San Jose
5J-514: San Jose-Manila
State weather bureau Pagasa placed 22 areas under public storm warning signals on Sunday morning as Typhoon Luis approached northeastern Luzon. (Help map critical reports)
At 4 am, Luis was spotted 266 km North Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or at 347 km East Southeast of Casiguran, Aurora. It had maximum winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kph.
