Davinder Kumar, 26, was shot dead by gunman on a motorcycle in front of a motel in C-6 in San Mateo, Rizal.
An Indian national who ran a money lending business was shot dead in San Mateo, Rizal on Tuesday.
At around 9:30 a.m., Davinder Kumar, 26, was killed by gunman on a motorcycle in front of a motel in C6. Kumar had been collecting loan payment from the motel.
Kumar, who was on a motorcycle during the incident, sustained a gunshot wound on his head from a .45 gun. He fell and was nearly crushed by his motorcycle.
According to the police, robbery was not the motive of Kumar’s killer, as he did not take away the victim’s money.
Police speculate that Kumar may have been killed due to a personal grudge. However, his widow, Irish, said her husband didn’t have any enemies. She speculated that it may have been done by someone who envied her husband’s success.
Police had wanted to view the CCTV footage from the area but they were told that the CCTV camera was out of order at that time.
Police are now talking to witnesses in the hopes of identifying the gunman.
