ONLY days after receiving a bomb threat on Oct. 7, the San Beda College in Manila again called off class on Saturday due to another bomb threat, according to school officials.
San Beda’s rector-president Rev. Aloysius Maranan OSB ordered students to “vacate the school premises immediately. Please do not go near the school premises today.”
It was the second time San Beda got a bombing threat this week after officials received another bombing threat around noon of Oct. 7.
The threat also came after classes in Saint Louis University in Baguio City was suspended on Friday afternoon after school authorities received an anonymous text message about a supposed bomb placed inside the campus.
Police and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) personnel immediately responded and searched the campus for any explosive, but no bomb was found. It was the sixth time that a bomb threat has gripped Baguio City.
Aside from San Beda and Saint Louis, Miriam College in Quezon City also received a bombing threat this week.
