The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Friday the death of two more Filipinos from the Dec. 1 ship accident off Bering Sea in Russia.

"Two more confirmed Filipino casualties... We will release their names once confirmed that their NOKs (next of kin) have been notified," DFA spokesperson Charles Jose said in a text message to GMA News Online.

He added that seven remain missing from the ship, which carried a total of 13 Filipinos.

A fishing vessel carrying the Filipinos and 50 others sank in the Bering Sea when waves crashed into the ship as it was hauling fish in.

Jessie Alovera Londres, one of the Filipinos, was confirmed to be among the dead bodies recovered from the ship.

Meanwhile, government assistance will be given to the three others who were rescued a day after the mishap.
